The information we collect from you
We will collect personal information about you which you provide to us when using the Site, for example, when you activate your PFS Prepaid Card, log in to manage your PFS Prepaid Card, contact us through the Site, request information or otherwise provide personal information to us. Such information may include (but is not limited to) your PFS Pre Paid Card card number and PIN, your full name, address, telephone number and email address. You must ensure that the personal information you provide to us is accurate and complete.
Purposes for which we use your personal information
We collect, use, store and otherwise process personal information about you for the following purposes: (i) to enable you to access and use the Site; and (ii) to run your PFS Pre Paid Card account; and (iii) to process your fund transfers and transactions; and (iv) to enable us to provide any services which you have requested through use of the Site; and (v) to personalise aspects of our overall service to you; and (vi) to provide you with information regarding products and services that we feel may be of interest to you (see the "Marketing" section below).
Disclosing information about you
We will not disclose personal information obtained from you to any third parties other than in connection with legal proceedings or potential legal proceedings or if otherwise required to do so by law or any other Governmental or law enforcement agency (including but not limited to PFS, our issuing banks, our processors and our third party partners.)
We and/or our partners will only use the personal information obtained from you to enable us to provide you with information by email, telephone or post regarding products and services that we feel may be of interest to you if you have provided your consent for us to do so by ticking the relevant box(es) on this website where your personal information is collected.
If you wish to withdraw consent to use this information at any time for either us and/or our partners', then you should contact the Information Officer at PFS.
Keeping your personal information secure is very important to us. We will take appropriate and up-to-date measures to protect your personal information. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. As a result, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information which you send to us, and you do so at your own risk.
Transferring your information abroad
We may store, process and/or transfer the personal information you submit to us through use of the Site to countries outside of the European Economic Area including (without limitation) to the USA. Personal data transferred outside of the EEA will be stored and processed by our group companies or representative offices for business and management purposes, to perform a contractual obligation owed by us to you and/or to provide you with information or services that you have requested. By using this Site, you consent to us transferring your personal information to countries outside the EEA for our legitimate business purposes as outlined in this paragraph. We will take appropriate steps to protect your personal data.
Cookies are small files on your computer, which can store information that you transmit when accessing the internet. They are transmitted via the web browser to the computer's hard drive. Cookies cannot transmit any information from a computer system. They instead help to make a return visit to the Site as simple and user friendly as possible. Some cookies remain on the computer's hard drive so that Partner recognises your computer on your next visit. You can change your browser options at any time to deactivate cookies. Prepaid Financial Services Secure Code
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
Prepaid Financial Services Secure Code ("the Service") gives you added security when you make purchases online.
If you request to make an online payment, we may ask you certain questions to verify your payment before processing it. These questions are meant to reduce the risk of fraud and are based on information which we already hold about you in our files.
Not all online retailers participate in the Service so if you use a non-participating retailer you will not benefit from the enhanced level of security or have to answer additional authentication questions.
The Service does not give you any extra rights regarding the quality or fitness for purpose of the goods or services that you purchase. You should always make sure that you make your online purchases from reputable retailers.
1. VERIFICATION OF PAYMENT
1.1. If we need to carry out additional verification of your payment request before processing it, we will ask you a set of questions based on information we already hold about you in our files. (see 2.1 below on using information about you). If your personal data has not been updated as yet, you will be prompted to do this in order to be able using the Service.
2. USING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
2.1. We will use personal and financial information we hold about you to verify your payment request. This includes information which we obtain from you or from third parties, such fraud prevention agencies (who may check the information against any particulars on the Electoral Register and any other database (public or private) which they have access to).
2.2. We may give information about you and how you use the Service to any party which assists us in providing the Service as well as fraud prevention agencies. The information recorded by fraud prevention agencies may be accessed and used by organisations in the UK and other countries.
2.3. We may provide the police or any regulatory authority any information obtained in connection with the Service in order to allow them to investigate any suspected fraud, financial crime or other criminal offence.
2.5. We will not disclose your information to any online retailer.
3.1. We may suspend or terminate your use of the Service immediately:
3.1.1. If we suspect someone else is using or attempting to use your card or making or attempting to make a payment without your authority;
3.1.2. if you breach your agreement with us ;
3.1.3. if we are required to do so by any party assisting us in providing the Service;
3.1.4. if we are entitled to do so under your account terms and conditions or any other agreement we have with you; or
3.1.5. we reasonably believe it is necessary to do so but we will tell you immediately after suspending or terminating the Service.
3.2. We may suspend or terminate your use of the Service at any time by giving you 30 days' notice.
4. CHANGING THE TERMS
4.1. We may change these terms by sending a written notice of the change to any address, including any email account, that you have given to us, or (if the change is to your advantage) by publishing them on the website. We will normally give you 30 days' notice if the changes we make are to your disadvantage.
